5 Gallon Soft Coral Tank


This tank was started in April 2009 after breaking down the 120 gallon reef, and sand, rubble and live rock from the reef went in here, along with the sunrise dottyback. Recently I have been feeding more aggressively to upgrade the invert diversity and added a soft coral. Plans may include another soft coral but we shall see, as I may keep this a species tank for the coral. Also added in June were 2 skunk clowns Tank: 2.5 Gallon Glass
Lighting:7.5 watt LED
Live Rock: ~10 pounds in tank
Substrate:1/2-1" aragonite for appearance
Water Flow: via HOB filter with ~110-150gph flow (no biowheels and carbon in back)
Salt: pre-made NSW Temperature: 78-80

Fish:

  • 2 Skunk Clowns
  • 1 Sunrise Dottyback

Coral:

  • 1 Clavularia
    • Inverts
    • 2 red legged hermits
    • 2 cerith snails
    • 2 nassirius snails
